Model Details:
Certified Certified - The planning model was developed by the USACE, and has been reviewed and approved for regional or nationwide application in accordance with documented geographic range, nation-wide application in accordance with documented best practices and its designed limitations. All issues concerning the model and its documentation have been resolved to the satisfaction of the PCX (see PCX and/or model review history for details).
Geographic RangeThis model may be used in the Upper Mississippi River watershed as described in Figure 1 of the Waterfowl Habitat Conservation Strategy (December 2007), published by the Upper Mississippi River and Great Lakes Region Joint Venture.

Applicable Species/Communitieslesser scaup (Aythya affinis), redhead (Aythya americana), canvasback (Aythya valisineria) and ring-necked duck (Aythya collaris). Lacustraine, riverine and herbaceous wetland cover types.
