CEMCAT
Quick Tips
- Don’t include “everything” that makes up an ecosystem; only include what is relevant to the ecosystem, your project, and your objectives. At the same time, don’t exclude what’s important.
- More than one representation may be needed either because of scale (ex. nested models of a bay within a watershed) or because of alternate management scenarios.
- Spend some time with each step of the process, talk to other planners, and make sure you’ve done each step thoroughly to insure you’ve built an effective model.
- A model is much more than a visual diagram!
